From coffee breaks to career tips, students explored the twists and turns of the PhD journey with those who’ve walked the path before them.
Jaroslav Koča Memorial Colloquium on Computational and Structural Biology was organized in a memory of our esteemed colleague, who unexpectedly passed away in July 2021, but his scientific vision and constructive ideas will remain a living legacy for next generations of researchers.
The program started with the Ceremonial Section, where representatives of Masaryk University, ELIXIR, and Czech Science Agency highlighted the key role of Prof. Koča for internationalization of the Czech science, his progressive and creative thinking and warm personality. The scientific part was divided into three blocks focusing on different aspects of professor’s research interests. All invited speakers were in close scientific collaboration with Prof. Koča during his long and fruitful career.
Electronic abstract book and photos from the event are available here.
