Erasmus+ Applications for Staff – Spring Semester 2026
Dear colleagues,
We would like to inform you that applications are now open for Erasmus+ stays in the spring semester of 2026.
The Learned Society of the Czech Republic at its XXIX General Assembly on 15 May 2023 awarded medals for merit in science development and prizes to distinguished scientists, educators and talented university and high school students. The medal was also awarded to Jiří Damborský, head of the Loschmidt Laboratories of the MU Faculty of Science.
Professor Jiří Damborský is an exceptional personality in the field of biochemistry, both in the Czech Republic and worldwide. He focuses his scientific activities on the study of protein engineering and the development of software tools for the identification and engineering of practically useful proteins. Professor Jiří Damborský's personality combines two key qualities of the best scientists - both excellent research qualities and extraordinary skills in putting them into practice. Professor Jiří Damborský is the co-author of several globally used protein engineering programs and, among other things, has built and leads the renowned Loschmidt Laboratories.
