The Dean of the Faculty of Science Tomáš Kašparovský will award 35 personalities who have made a significant contribution to the development of the Faculty, and its departments and institutes, over the last few decades. The ceremony will take place on November 19, 2021, in the refectory of the Mendel Museum, in the spirit of the anniversary of the Day of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy and the International Student Day. The ceremony was initially planned to mark the 100th anniversary of teaching at the Faculty (October 19, 1920), but it had to be unfortunately postponed due to pandemic measures.
Pavel Špaček received an honourable mention in the Crytur 2025 Awards for his thesis entitled ‘The Use of Photon Upconversion Nanoparticles in Single-Molecule Immunoassays’ (Supervisor: doc. Zdeněk Farka, Department of Biochemistry).
